In its 21st edition, the Global Child Nutrition Forum discusses challenges and best practices in school feeding programs. Registrations are open and can be made through the official website of the event from 16\/09 to 22\/11\/2019. This year’s Forum will feature \u201cWhat we’re learning: Enhancing value and exploring challenges and good practices in school meal program implementation\u201d and will take place in Siem Reap, Cambodia, from 2 to 6\/12\/2019.<\/p>\n
The Forum is held annually by the Centre of Excellence against Hunger of the World Food Program (WFP) and the Global Child Nutrition Foundation, in partnership with the host country government, to promote South-South cooperation, to exchange knowledge and provide technical assistance for school feeding programs in developing countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa. It aims to broaden the positive impacts of child nutrition and student learning programs.<\/p>\n
This edition of the event is expected to gather around 200 representatives from governments, NGOs, businesses, UN agencies and academia from 35 developing countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa. The event features a panel dedicated to the importance of school feeding and partnerships in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as field visits to Cambodian schools so that attendees can see the country’s school feeding programs closely.<\/p>\n
