\"\"The 11th issue of the bulletin published by the World Food Programme (WFP) Centre of Excellence against Hunger and Malnutrition in C\u00f4te D\u2019Ivoire (CERFAM) features an article that highlights the work of the Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil. The article describes the main lessons learned and recommendations for enhancing food security and nutrition in Africa as a result of technical supported offered to over 40 countries throughout the past 10 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince its creation, the WFP Centre of Excellence in Brazil has supported 43 countries and the African Union in their advocacy and development of their food security and nutrition programmes, particularly around school feeding\u201d, states the article. The text also mentions the inclusion of home-grown school feeding programmes in the African Union\u2019s Continental Education Strategy for 2016-2025 and the support for the creation of CERFAM.<\/p>\n

The cases of Benin, Burundi and Togo are also mentioned, as well as the benefits of South-South Cooperation efforts to fight hunger. The CERFAM bulletin also features articles on the collaboration with other UN agencies such as FAO and IFAD, in addition to documentation and school feeding strategies.
