{"id":29619,"date":"2025-10-09T16:49:57","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T19:49:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/?p=29619"},"modified":"2025-10-09T16:49:57","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T19:49:57","slug":"treinamento-em-nutricao-fortalece-programa-de-alimentacao-escolar-em-sao-tome-e-principe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/en\/treinamento-em-nutricao-fortalece-programa-de-alimentacao-escolar-em-sao-tome-e-principe\/","title":{"rendered":"Nutrition training strengthens School Feeding Program in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-29620 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-Tela-2025-10-09-as-16.47.20.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1017\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-Tela-2025-10-09-as-16.47.20.png 1017w, https:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-Tela-2025-10-09-as-16.47.20-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-Tela-2025-10-09-as-16.47.20-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/centrodeexcelencia.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Captura-de-Tela-2025-10-09-as-16.47.20-600x335.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1017px) 100vw, 1017px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fifteen professionals from the National School Feeding and Health Program (PNASE) in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe completed training in school nutrition this week, conducted by Brazilian nutritionists as part of South-South cooperation.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">During two weeks of in-person activities in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9, participants received theoretical and practical training on planning nutritionally adequate menus, using local products, food safety, and nutritional assessment of students, in addition to visiting schools and rural properties that supply the program.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Promoted with support from the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE), the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, and the WFP Center of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil and the S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe Word Food Programme (PAM), the training is part of a strategy to strengthen PNASE, a program that currently provides daily meals to nearly 49,000 children in preschool and elementary school.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">FNDE Food and Nutrition Security Coordinator Daniel Bandoni, who was part of the Brazilian delegation, highlighted the relevance of the initiative in the context of international cooperation. For him, school feeding is a powerful tool for combating hunger and promoting education, and this exchange of knowledge with S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe is a concrete example of solidarity and joint construction of sustainable solutions.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The initiative is the result of commitments made following an official visit by a S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 delegation to Brazil in August 2024.
