“Moving on to the second phase means carrying on ancestral knowledge,” says Francieli Kunhã Oryba

Read the following testimony from school cook Francieli Kunhã Oryba, from the Indigenous Community of Aracruz (ES), whose chicken broth with cassava and biju dish was selected in the Escola de Sabores reality show competition:

“Moving on to the second phase of this competition is much more than an achievement; it is a milestone of great importance because I am representing the indigenous peoples, carrying on the culture of our people’s struggle, resistance and ancestral knowledge that spans generations. Being here also means representing an entire profession that is a source of great pride, because every school cook carries with them commitment, care and love in everything they do. This achievement belongs to all of us!”
