
Read the following testimony from cook Alison da Silva, from the Indigenous Community of São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM), who made the winning dish in Episode 4, pirarucu with maniçoba and banana farofa:
“Moving on to the second stage was very rewarding and challenging. Winning the competition showed me that I am capable of further developing my skills in the kitchen.
Representing indigenous peoples is of great importance and a great responsibility because it shows that we are capable of excelling in any type of role and that we are ready to perform any service anywhere we want.”
