The government of Brazil made humanitarian donations to the Republic of Congo for the purchase of medical and hospital supplies and materials that will assist that country’s efforts to combat COVID-19. A ceremony to mark the delivery of the donations took place in February. The Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), coordinated the initiative, led by the Embassy of Brazil in Brazzaville, with the support of the World Food Programme (WFP).
To Paraguay, the donation was comprised of 20 field tents to assist the country’s efforts to welcome citizens who returned to the country due to the pandemic. The tents arrived in Asunción in January. The donation, made on a humanitarian basis, was also coordinated by ABC, and had the support of the WFP. The tents were delivered to the Paraguayan authorities by the Brazilian Embassy in Asunción.
