Tomorrow (20 December) is the big day to learn a little about the reality of indigenous, quilombola and riverine school cooks on the reality show Escola de Sabores, at 12 noon on TV Band. The programme is the result of a partnership between the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE), the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) and the WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil.
With a production and direction team from the Master Chef programme, Escola de Sabores will feature chefs Bel Coelho and Rodrigo Oliveira as judges in the eight episodes that will evaluate recipes developed by cooks from traditional communities in Brazil. The programme will also show life in these communities, highlighting the knowledge of these professionals and their role in school meals.
Airing at 12 noon on Band and at 9 p.m. on the Sabor & Arte channel, the show will have eight episodes aired every Saturday, with a rerun on Sundays at 8 p.m. on the Terraviva channel.
