Save the date: online event will address good practices in school feeding in Portuguese-speaking countries

School feeding programmes have the potential to impact both food consumption and production patterns. Healthy meals promote lasting changes in children’s eating habits when connected to meaningful food and nutrition education. To present and discuss good practices in school feeding linked to local agriculture, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor will participate in an online event next Tuesday, November 8, at 7am (Brazil time).

The event, presented and organized by the WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil, will bring together government officials, UN agencies, researchers and third-sector organizations to share knowledge, support the development of strategies to re-establish and improve school feeding programmes, and discuss best practices in Trilateral South-South Cooperation. The event takes place from 7am to 9am (Brazil time), on Zoom. Sign up for free here.
