Partnership between WFP Centre of Excellence and African UnionThe WFP Brazil Centre of Excellence against Hunger launched a new short publication presenting the collaboration between the Centre and the African Union Commission to advocate for home-grown school feeding and to support AU member states in their efforts to scale up school feeding across the continent.

This information is vital, given that existing publications do not cover this topic thoroughly and the development of new information on how to solve the main hardships and obstacles of PNAE nutritionists is needed.
The Brazilian ExperienceThis publication is a support material, with the objective of providing theoretical and scientific support to professionals working at National School Feeding Programme (PNAE), for the training of food handlers who work in the Programme. This document is intended for those responsible for training school feeding handlers, including managers, the educational and school feeding sectors, nutritionists, among others.
Brazilian ExperienceThe PNAE and the CECANEs of the University of Brasília (UnB) and Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) developed this manual with the goal of explaining the procedures in a practical way to apply acceptability tests in the school environment, in order to ensure compliance with Resolution CD / FNDE No. 26/20132, strengthening the quality control of foods offered in school meals. In 2017, the manual was revised and updated by the UFRGS CECANE, due to a need of adapting the document to current legislation.

professionals. This Guide is based on clinical protocols and therapeutic guidelines (PCDT), national agreements and guidelines, as well as on applicable legislation. This Guide can be adapted depending on the district, state or municipality clinical protocols and therapeutic guidelines (PCDT) or based upon the decisions of a local responsible for school nutrition.
Annual ReportThe WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger launched its 2018 annual report. The document highlights the impacts of the activities in partner countries. Throughout the year, the WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger has made concrete contributions to strengthening school feeding programmes in 17 countries, benefiting around 4 million children and thousands of smallholder farmers.
ArticleThis article analyzes the World Food Programme Centre of Excellence against Hunger Brazil (WFP CoE’s) trajectory in providing technical assistance and facilitating policy dialogue between Global South countries, further contributing to three knowledge-related recommendations of the Buenos Aires Plan of Action: 24, 25 and 32. To this end, the article used the CoE’s partnership with the African Union as a showcase of the alignment with these three recommendations.
